Yvonne Day founded the Haitian nonprofit organization, Yvonne's 100th Wish, in 2013 in order to improve the quality of life for underprivileged children. We carry on her legacy by serving more than 3,000 children in local communities in Haiti with free lunches, drinking water, and athletics and medical programs.
Mrs. Louis Etheart (née Yvonne Day)
Yvonne was a dedicated Catholic who has spent her life helping the needy. As a child, Yvonne early understood the suffering of the world and has always wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. She followed the path of Jesus and adopted the motto "Do unto others whatever you would like them to do unto you." At the age of 12, she felt the call of God strongly and started her ministry. Every day she would come back from school and give lessons to elderly people in the backyard of her home. Yvonne believed that education transforms lives and breaks the cycle of poverty that traps so many children. The funds donated to her cause will provide basic school supplies, learning materials, and lunches, as well as teacher salaries.
